The definition of the word graffiti is meant to be an entry made on public or private property such as shops , monuments or other non- scheduled carrier to present a work of art.

In a few years, these "tags" have become real fonts ; declined authors writing their messages in order to increase visibility, or develop style, to mark or assert their personality and to be part of the collective memory , if only that in their environment, sometimes at least as a precursor to a single style.

Graffiti are of great importance in archeology : they are part, with the epigraphic texts, written testimony non-literary , popular , often very "alive" and able to reveal new aspects of the companies that produced them .
